Our mission:  to find a cure by supporting young scientists to deliver breakthrough cancer research.

Cure Cancer Australia funds researchers working towards breakthrough cancer research. Since 1967, Cure Cancer Australia has provided an essential link between the community and our young Australian research scientists.  We provide researchers working in all areas of cancer with funding support at the start of their careers. Funding more research grants each year enables Australia’s brightest research talent to secure further funding, build on their ideas and continue their vital work in Australia.  Thanks to the generosity of you and the community, our mission is possible:  to find a cure by supporting young scientists to deliver breakthrough cancer research.  Thank you for your support.

NATIONAL CALL FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS
Cure Cancer Australia is collaborating with Cancer Australia to provide National funding for 2009 via the Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme (PdCCRS).

The PdCCRS is a collaboration of funding partners aiming to:

  • provide a coordinated approach among funding organisations to fund cancer research in priority areas
  • foster collaboration between research groups and individuals on a single research project
  • lessen duplication and fragmentation of research effort at the national level

Applications are now closed.  Assessments will take place during August to September.  Successful applicants will be announced in December.  Thanks to your support, the Foundation looks forward to funding even more researchers in 2009.
