THE WORLDS BEST BYO - A GLAMOROUS EVENING RAISING $150K
The 2010 Worlds Best BYO (WBBYO) took place at Australasia's leading restaurant, Quay on Tuesday 22nd June.
Now in its third year, the WBBYO has established itself as one of Sydney's most exciting fundraisers.
With guests such as Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Miranda Otto, John Westacott, Kristie Clements and Jill Dupleix as MC,
this unique event was an outstanding success raising $150,000 for cancer research.
Guests had the rare opportunity to break out their best bottle from the cellar while enjoying the extraordinary cuisine
of Australia's most awarded chef, Peter Gilmore and having their wine cared for and served by a crack team of Sydney's
top sommeliers.
Stunning auction items on offer included an Orion Expedition 5 star cruise to the Kimberley region, Lake Okareka Lodge in NZ,
Louis Vuitton Suhali goods and a Vintec Fridge filled with Veuve Clicquot 2002 vintage.

2010 RESEARCH GRANT RECIPIENTS
In 2010, Cure Cancer Australia is targeting a record $1.4 million towards the fight against cancer with
16 young researchers being awarded a one year funding grant of $90,000.
Cure Cancer Australia is collaborating with Cancer Australia to provide National Project Grant funding
for 2011 via the Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme (PdCCRS).
Applications for 2011 have now closed. Applications for 2012 will open at the end of 2011.
